Hot-shots Leon Mettam, Lee Gaskell and Jon Froggatt have been unveiled as the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League’s 2013-14 Golden Boot winners.

The trio were officially named on Tuesday as the league's top scores of the campaign as all three looked forward to firing their sides to promotion in this week’s Evo-Stik NPL play-offs.

The accolades will be presented to the strikers at the Blackpool Hilton Hotel on Saturday June 14 at the Evo-Stik NPL’s annual presentation and awards night.

Mettam found the net 45 times for Worksop Town to help them to a fourth place finish and the bragging rights as the league’s overall top scorer.

The Tigers travel to AFC Fylde on Tuesday in their semi-final with the 26-year-old former Gainsborough Trinity, Lincoln City, Stamford and Corby Town forward hoping to add to his tally and reach the top flight's play-off final.

Froggatt, 32, scored 36 goals for Belper Town to fire the Nailers into the promotion mix. As the fourth placed club in First Division South they travel to Leek Town on Wednesday in their bid for promotion.

A former Leeds United trainee, Froggatt joined the club in 2009 after spells with Wakefield, Boston United, Buxton, Glapwell, Hallam, Ossett Albion and Worksop Town. The striker has been the leading scorer at Christchurch Meadow for the last three seasons, notching over 30 goals in each of the campaigns.

Froggatt (pictured) was honoured by former England striker Royle at the third annual awards in Barnsley when he was named in the First Division South Team of the Year.

Gaskell, 29, has scored more than 100 goals in three and half seasons at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium to become a firm fans favourite after winning promotion two years ago from the North West Counties Football League.

His 29 strikes this term saw him named as the First Division North’s most lethal marksmen ahead of his club's trip to runners-up Darlington in another of Wednesday night's play-off semi-finals.
