The best way to keep up to date with Belper Town FC

Return of the promotion heroes

2 weeks ago By David Laughlin

The Marston’s will be buzzing on Sunday when legendary striker, Jon Froggatt brings a side packed with former players to play the current Belper team.

Back in 2014, the Nailers gained promotion to the Evo-Stik League Premier Division after first beating Leek Town at Harrison Park and then Mickleover Sports at Christchurch Meadow in the end of season play-offs.

Many of that victorious side are due to feature in Jon Froggatt’s (pictured) line-up, in a game that has been arranged to celebrate former club directors, Alan Benfield and Chris Balls for their 25 years of dedication to the club.

It’s a family day out so please feel free to bring the kids, the dogs , your granny and anyone else who wishes to soak up the expected sunshine and enjoy a few beers!

The Nailers end of season presentation of awards will be made after the match in the Nailers Function Room.

Entry to the match will be free but a collection will be made in support of the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.

Kick off at the Marston’s Stadium is at 3.00pm
