On the eve of the new season, we can confirm that attacking player George Milner has signed for Belper Town.

After the re-signing of Dominic Allen this week, the Nailers have once again been strengthened as the new season dawns upon the Silver X Stadium with the capture of George Milner.

The versatile attacking player can play in a strikers role and also as a winger or slot into midfield if required which will be a huge benefit to Grant Black's squad in such a long and tough campaign that lays ahead. Some eagle eyed fans may have seen Milner make an appearance in the match against Matlock Town FC last weekend.

Milner began his footballing career at Chesterfield FC and developed through their youth set-up. After leaving The Spireites, he has featured for such clubs as Buxton, Clipstone and AFC Mansfield who will feature in the EVO STIK- East League alongside the Nailers this season.

However, after spells at a variety of non-league clubs, Milner has ventured into colder climates and played for Scandinavian side Valdres FK who play within the Norweigan leagues. After returning to slightly warmer climates, Milner spent the last couple of months of last season at Frickley Athletic.

After signing for the Nailers, Milner said "I'm delighted to sign for Belper Town. They have got a great bunch of lads and players and I can't wait for the season to start".
