Read the latest squad updates provided by Belper Town manager Aaron Webster.

Speaking exclusively to Belper Town FC, Webster reaffirmed his belief in the current crop of players by saying ‘Signing deadline was yesterday (22nd March 2018). I decided not to sign anybody. I thought it would be best to stay with the current playing squad. I feel the last 3 games they have earned the right to see the season through”.

When discussing player exits, Webster says “Nobody has left the club bar Eric Graves. Gresley wanted him but I’m going to help them out. They hate me because of my Burton links of course, so I’ll never be a helping hand to them”

“My good friend Ryan Austin is Kidsgrove manager and he was in dire need of new players so I weren’t in a position to be ruthless to Eric and stop him from playing football and earning a bit of cash, so I helped arrange a deal for him to go there. He’s still a player I want to see though so pre-season you never know”.

The Belper Town manager also provided some updates on some familiar faces that have been missing from the Marston’s Stadium in recent weeks.

Will Dennis

“Will (Dennis) is still signed to us but has gone out to get some game time and sharpness after a knee injury kept him out for a couple months”.

Fenwick Butcher

“Fenwick’s dad who has been very ill and now unfortunately passed away has prevented him from being available and I fully understand. Family is priority over anything so he has however long off he wants to recover, grieve, take care of his family etc”.

Alex Steadman

“Alex Steadman was unfortunately in a car crash last week on the way to the meeting point before the Spalding game. He has a few bumps and bruises so will be unavailable again tomorrow, hopefully he’s ok to resume training again next week”

Leandro Browne

“Leandro Browne has a toe injury at the minute. He’s been playing through the pain barrier in recent weeks. I decided to rest him against Romulus and probably won’t be ready for tomorrow’s game either. Hopefully a 10 days rest and an appointment with a chiropodist will see him ok for the return match vs Romulus next Saturday”.

John Guy

“John Guy is back on solid foods now so hopefully he’ll be able to do some non-contact work in the next 2 weeks and hopefully see him again before the end of the season”.
