Belper are brimming with confidence after two sterling displays against Kidsgrove and Spalding, boasting four points along the way.

Returning to the Marston on Tuesday night, Aaron Webster has full faith in his sides self-made good fortune.

‘The moods good in the camp and we’ve just got to follow it. We’ve just got to play how we’ve played in the previous two away games.’

‘We are confident going into it. That’s not just looking at the league table or who we’re against. Even if it was Basford as well we’d be confident on the back of our last two performances.’

Romulus are toying with the relegation zone, sitting only a point above the bottom and Webster is in no mood to aid their predicament.

‘Romulus are fighting for their lives and only won one away game all season. We’re not here to do anyone any favours.’

‘We are here to look after ourselves and do the best we can and put a performance and see where it takes us.’

Despite not playing at home since mid-February, Belper will be boosted by the visitors less than desirable away record; only won win on the road this season.

Although Webster described their poor away record as a ‘mental block’, he fully knows form goes out of the window in any EVO Stik tie and has a game plan to stick to.

‘We’ve got to start the game on the front foot. Start aggressive with intent, attacking and defending. Move the ball around like we have been.’

In terms of team news, striker Alex Steadman won’t feature after unfortunately being involved in a car crash before the match on Saturday. This leaves a likely start for Sam Birks who impressed his manager in the draw at Kidsgrove and a space free on the bench.

Steadman is an obvious loss to the team, but Webster backs his Belper squad as he said, ‘We’ve got capable players of scoring goals so whoever comes in can be a threat and add to the team.’

The Nailers will aim to stretch their unbeaten run to three games on Tuesday night, a first for Webster and a stat he will attempt to steer his side on with.

‘I don’t think I’ve done that since I’ve been here so that’s a goal I’ll be trying to achieve and I’ll -emphasise that to the players before kick-off.’
