Nottingham born, he started out at Kidderminster Harriers in the 2004/05 season but soon returned to local non league circles with spells at Hucknall Town, Gresley Rovers, Eastwood Town, Carlton Town, Shepshed Dynamo and Long Eaton United in the intervening seasons.
