Biography
Towering 6ft 6in defender Max signed on loan from Derbyshire neighbours, Matlock Town after impressing in our 2-1 defeat to the Gladiators in the Caroline Melbourne Cup. Max became the first academy graduate in ten years to sign a professional contract with the Gladiators. His height lends him perfectly to the aerial side of the game. He is able to play short or long passes with great accuracy, this being one of his most impressive attributes. Max’s career started out when he was signed for Nottingham Forest at a young age but when he was released from Forest after several years there he found his way to Matlock. He was offered a place with the Under-21s at Mansfield Town, an offer which he turned down to return to Causeway Lane, where he felt his opportunities would be more fruitful.
