First Time Visitor Information

Although we have quite a few supporters who follow us week in, week out, we realise that for some people coming to the Raygar Stadium, this may be a completely new experience.

If you have just moved to the area or maybe you are just passing through Belper but plan to take in a game, as an away supporter, we’ll be delighted to welcome you to the club and we hope that the information below will answer most of the queries you may have.

If not, simply telephone us on 07768 010604 or email us at info@belpertownfc.co.uk and we will be pleased to help further.

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN THERE ARE GAMES ON?

Details of all our forthcoming fixtures covering both home and away games can be found on our website here

HOW DO I FIND THE RAYGAR STADIUM?

Set in the beautiful Derwent Valley in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside, the Raygar Stadium is located at Christchurch Meadow, Bridge Street, Belper.

The stadium is accessed from Belper Triangle, at the junction of the A6 and A517 at the northern edge of the town.

Whilst the postcode for your Sat Nav is DE56 1BA, this only takes you as far as Bridge Street. The ground is accessed via the lane by the side of the church on the left hand side just before the traffic lights.

IS THERE PUBLIC TRANSPORT?

Belper Bus Station

Belper Bus Station is situated on the A6 main road through the town, around 600 yards south of the Raygar Stadium

Rail Transport
Belper Railway Station is situated on approximately 400 yards from the Raygar Stadium. There are regular trains from Derby Station to Belper

Rail timetables via the Trainline website here

IS THERE CAR PARKING AT THE GROUND?

There is limited car parking in the stadium itself and we have concessionary use of 20 car parking spaces at the adjacent Belper Meadows Sports Club (a charge may apply). There are various other car parks located in the town, with the car park at Belper railway station probably the most convenient.

DO I NEED TO OR CAN I BUY A TICKET FOR THE GAME IN ADVANCE?

For our games it is ‘cash at the turnstiles’ – that means you can simply turn up and pay into the game at the entry turnstiles.

Ticket prices are as follows

Adults - £11
Concessions (Under 16 and over 60) - £7
Students (with ID Card) - £7
Children Under 11 are admitted free of charge (with adult)

WHERE CAN I SIT OR STAND?

For the vast majority of matches there is free movement throughout the stadium and you are able to sit anywhere in the main stand. There are no additional charges for seating. Only for high profile matches are we expected to segregate supporters but this is a rarity.

A site plan of the Raygar Stadium is located as an attacheent:

IS THERE SOMEPLACE I CAN BUY A SOUVENIR OF MY VISIT?

Yes, the club shop is open 60 minutes before kick-off and again at half time. The club shop is located next to the Reg Walker stand.

As well as a range of hats and scarves, most of the items on sale are smaller souvenirs and gifts at ‘pocket money’ prices. Please note that we don’t have a full range of club replica kits in the shop – but we can take orders for you and arrange delivery

IS THERE A SECTION JUST FOR FAMILIES?

No, but we are a family friendly club and families are free to go wherever they want.

IS THERE FOOD & DRINKS AVAILABLE TO BUY?

Our catering partners, Brettles Bistro operate a food outlet adjacent to the main entrance to the club bar and function room where you can buy hot and cold drinks, pies, hot dogs and a range of other snacks to help you enjoy your day. It’s cash only at the food outlet.

All spectators are also welcome to use the main function room on match days, where we have an extensive range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. If you want to take your drinks outside the function room, we can supply plastic glasses for this purpose.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD?

We would encourage you not to as we believe you will enjoy the range of food we have to offer at our food outlet. To comply with national ground regulations, you will NOT be permitted to enter the ground with any ‘controlled container’ i.e. bottles, cans etc.

ARE TOILET FACILITIES AVAILABLE?

Yes, there are male and female facilities in the function room and behind the main stand.

ARE THERE FACILITIES FOR THE DISABLED?

Yes, the stadium and our facilities (including toilets in the function room) are suitable for disabled supporters

CAN I BRING MY DOG INTO THE STADIUM?

Of course, we are a dog-friendly stadium

I ENJOYED MY FIRST VISIT - CAN I BUY A SEASON TICKET?

Yes, season tickets are available throughout the season. We will simply work out how many games of the season you could still see and work out a pro-rata price for you.
