Many Belper Town supporters will fondly remember Albert Litchfield, who scored a mountain of goals for the Nailers in the 1950s and 60s

Sadly, Albert has suffered with heart disease and diabetes for a number of years and two years ago was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia.

Albert’s wife Margaret and her daughter Carolyne are taking part in a ten mile Memory Walk, on behalf of Albert, to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.

The walk takes place on 3rd October at Wollaton Park Nottingham.

They are asking people to sponsor us via our JustGiving page which can be found at https://www.justgiving.com/Carolyne-Litchfield/

Donations can also be made directly to Margaret at 22 Openwood Road Belper DE56 0SG.

It is a fact that one person every three minutes will develop Dementia so please help to raise as much money as possible to fund vital research and create a world free from this devastating condition.
