FA Competitions – Early Round Draws
The early rounds of the FA Emirates Cup, FA Trophy and FA Youth Cup have been made and published today by the Football Association.
In the FA Emirates Cup Preliminary Round draw, the Nailers have been drawn away to league rivals, Basford United, with the match being played at Basford’s Greenwich Avenue ground on Saturday, 20 August.
This will mean an early reunion for two of Belper’s recent signings Reuben Wiggins-Thomas and Josh Thornton, as they will be facing their former colleagues for the first time.
Meanwhile, the Nailers have been favoured with a home tie in the FA Trophy Preliminary Round, when we face Goole AFC at the Marston’s Stadium on Saturday, 8 October.
The winners of this tie will be home to Blyth Spartans in the First Qualifying Round on Saturday, 29 October
Finally, in the FA Youth Cup, our academy side will have an opportunity to test their skills against Basford United, when they play their First Qualifying Round tie in week commencing 19 September
