The main role of the press officer is to compile match reports for all home and away matches and the post holder will also be required to write weekly news stories and occasional feature articles and press releases.

You will be required to form a working relationship with the local media/newspapers serving the Belper area including the Belper News and Derby Telegraph, sending each copies of articles, press releases and match reports.

This exciting position is an ideal opportunity to gain some valuable experience in sports journalism and as with previous incumbents, create the platform for a future career in the journalism and broadcasting field.

The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of writing football match reports, however this is not essential as mentoring will be provided by the club.

The position of press officer will be on a volunteer basis only but assistance will be given when required to travel to away games.
