As expected, Peter Duffield rang the changes following the weekend game against Chesterfield, as the Belper manager continued to ensure that his entire squad obtain full match fitness ahead of the competitive season.
In a game that proved to be men against boys, it was the Nailers who took an early lead after 6 minutes, with the goal coming through the experienced Mark Ward.
A free kick which was placed on the left hand corner of the penalty area which Ward (pictured) curled in low across the box, only to see the ball deceive everyone and nestle just inside the far post.
Ward soon had two more good opportunities, with the first rising an inch above the bar after a cheeky chip over the goalkeeper and the second hitting the crossbar following a Kieran Wells cross from the right.
Aaron Cole then won a penalty after 32 minutes, following a forceful challenge from the opposing full back. Gareth Davies stepped up and struck the ball firmly into the top left hand corner, beyond the reach of the keeper.
The second half proved all too much for Dinnington to handle, which resulted in a capitulation at the hands of the Nailers.
Mark Ward got his second goal of the game on 50 minutes, with a close range header into the roof of the net following a good cross from the right by Chris Jones.
Ian Ross then made it 4-0 as he caught the Dinnington defence napping with a quick free kick from 20 yards, which eased its way into the bottom left hand corner.
Jordan Ball was next to score on 70 minutes, with a neat side footed after more good build-up play from the Nailers.
Two minutes later, another tap-in was presented to defender Matt Reay who only had to make contact from three yards, following a flap by the goalkeeper as the ball fell from his grasp.
Two more goals arrived for the Nailers inside the last 15 minutes, with Jordan Ball and Ian Ross both bagging a goal each, with a neat finish by Ball inside the area, followed by another clinical free kick by Ross.
