A dominant second half display from the hosts secured a place in the next round where they will travel to Evo-Stik Premier outfit Nantwich Town.
Liam Hurst, Toby Hilliard and Michael Clunan from the penalty spot inflicted the damage on the Nailers in the second half, after Evan Garnett had cancelled out Lee Smith’s first half header.
Kings Lynn opened the scoring after twenty minutes, Hurst made progress down the right flank and crossed the ball into the path of Smith who powerfully headed home.
The Nailers responded well to going a goal down and matched the hosts for the remainder of half, Garnett got a more than deserved equaliser five minutes before break.
He collected Lee Cooksey’s through ball in the left channel and rounded Linnets ‘keeper Alex Street to slot into the empty net.
The home side came out for the second half looking a lot stronger, they retook the lead after five minutes when Phil Watt hauled down Lee Stevenson in the box and Clunan sent Haystead the wrong way from the resulting penalty.
Hurst got himself on the score sheet just after the hour mark, his rasping left-footed drive went through on-rushing defender Cooksey which seemed to deceive Haystead in the Nailers goal.
Two late goals from substitute Toby Hilliard secured next Saturday’s trip to Nantwich but flattered the hosts.
Firstly collecting fellow substitute Dylan Edge’s clipped through ball and finishing from the right hand side of the box across and Haystead.
With virtually the last kick off the game Hilliard curled the ball into the far corner with his left foot to complete an extremely flattering rout for the Norfolk side.
Belper could only field two substitutes for tonight’s game as several players were still cup-tied and the three new signings were not registered in time.
