The night started badly for the Nailers with a car accident preventing the arrival of a number of Belper players, leaving manager Jimmy Albans only able to name one substitute.
Thankfully, the only lasting damage was to the car itself.
The home side controlled the majority of the first half and created numerous chances to take the lead, but for their lack of range and Danny Haystead's man of the match performance.
However, against the run of play, Nabil Shariff (pictured) struck the opening goal of the game for the Nailers in the 32nd minute.
Rob Stevenson battled hard to win possession high on the right hand side and found a low cross in to Shariff's feet. Shariff then took one touch and turned to shoot into to bottom right hand corner, to score his second goal in as many games.
Curzon continued to press and waste opportunities as the Nailers held out to half time.
The second half saw the best of 'keeper Haystead who pulled off a number of first class saves.
Rob Stevenson was denied a clear goal scoring opportunity from outside the box as Curzon 'keeper Cameron Mason rushed out and fouled the Belper forward, only for the referee to wave play on.
It was only a matter of time until the home side hit the back of the net and they did so in the 68th minute through defender Jonathan Hunt.
After a dozen corners had gone awry for Curzon, Joe Guest this time found his man from the right hand side, where Hunt closed in to steer his header through the bodies.
Belper then showed their character and earned better control of the game and just four minutes later, Nabil Shariff found the net once again.
This time, Scott Matthews whipped in a dangerous free kick from the right hand side, level with the penalty box. The ball the bounced through the bodies, and fell to Shariff six yards out, who clinically found the back of the net to make it three goals in his first two games for the Nailers.
The home side then began to press for the final minutes and forced another dagger through the Nailers hearts, as they went on to score a goal in the 90th minute, giving Belper an all too familiar feeling of frustration.
Sam Walker stood over a free kick right of centre, twenty yards out, and curled an effort towards the far post which took a wicked deflection to take it away from Haystead, and in to the top left corner.
