Coalville secured the points with just minutes remaining when Nat Watson finished low past Danny Haystead, to put the home side in front for the third time.
The Ravens took an early lead through full-back Lee Torr, Jake Wolley whipped a deep ball in from the right flank and Torr was on hand to finish from a tight angle.
Phil Watt got the Nailers back on level terms when he headed home Jonathan Williams corner five minutes before half-time.
A scrappy second-half burst into life when Coalville retook the lead with just over ten minutes remaining, Danny Jenno’s strike was deflected into bottom corner by Liam Walshe who wheeled away in jubilation.
Rob Stevenon helped the Nailers get back on level terms when he scored arguably Belper’s goal of the season so far, he collected the ball on the left wing, dribbled past three men and fired the ball into the top corner of the goal.
A point would have been a respectable result for the Nailers but the Leicestershire side snatched it away with minutes left on the clock, Watson made the points safe when he converted Alex Dean’s right-sided centre.
The hosts had a golden opportunity to double their lead, with the score 1-0 on the half hour mark, Watt had his pocket picked by Watson when he was the last defender but with all the time in the world he could not beat Danny Haystead who kept him out superbly.
Watt then equalised for the Nailers who almost went in leading at the break, five minutes before half-time Stevenson cut inside from the left and fired a fierce shot towards goal but Sean Bowles was equal to it in the Raven’s goal.
Jonathan Williams started to make his 50th appearance for the Nailers, his corner led to the Nailers first equaliser but he was later substituted for Tyrell Shannon-Lewis.
New signing Louis Keenan came straight into Charlie Palmer’s side at left-back, with fellow new face Kyle Bryant coming off the bench to make his debut, replacing Evan Garnett with just over ten minutes left to play.
