With only seconds to go it looked as if the Nailers would end the season in defeat.
But a Johnathan Williams free kick could only be parried away by the Chasetown keeper into the path of Wiggins-Thomas who tucked home.
This was the forwards second of the afternoon after he had scored the opener just 10 minutes in.
A brilliant ball in from Evan Garnett allowed Wiggins-Thomas the opportunity to tap the ball into the empty net.
The late equaliser was Wiggins-Thomas’ fifth goal in the three games.
Chasetown found themselves in front just after the break with goals by Matthew Gardner either side of half time.
The equaliser came from a floated cross into the box that Gardner simply couldn’t miss.
Chasetown were in the lead after Gardner’s header lobbed Nailers keeper Mark Rathbone and sailed into the back of the net.
It looked as if it was game over after Jack Langston made it 3-1.
The midfielder’s incredible effort from the edge of the box sailed into the top left corner of net, well out of the reach of Rathbone.
But the Nailers were not prepared to give up.
They continued to push to find their way back into the game and did so through Johnathan Williams.
Williams low effort managed to sneak into the bottom left corner to revive the hope of getting something from the game.
As time began to tick away it looked as if the points had escaped the Nailers, but the quick thinking of Ruben Wiggins-Thomas managed to grab a point.
The Nailers finish the season in 10th, 3 places higher than last season and they will be looking to climb even higher next season.
