Attacking midfielder, James is currently on his second loan from Derbyshire neighbours, Alfreton Town, after a previous stint at the end of the 2022/23 season. James had originally signed for the Reds from Buxton in March 2022. James came through the Sheffield United and AFC Bournemouth youth set ups before enjoying a short loan spell with Poole Town during the 2019/20 season.
