Ladies unlucky in cup tie but a replay it is.

It was a windy leafy Sunday and we knew it would be a difficult game when the ref turned up without a watch!

After cleaning the pitch of rubbish, rocks and dog poo the game was started.

Belper dominated from the off, Helen Tunnicliffe scoring a fantastic left footed goal in the 35th minute, putting Belper ladies into a well deserved lead.

Solid defending from Newton, Jacko, (Beth covering for the temporarily injured Jacko), Oliva and Little H kept Belper leading into the half time break.

Jemma, Emma and Kelly kept control in the midfield with Sue keeping them on their toes with instructions. Timely substitutions saw the introductions of Rachel and Leanne alternating with Lauren keeping the right hand side fresh throughout the game.

A through ball from Newton set Katie one on one with the Wirksworth keeper who came out of the area and hand balled... sorry chested the ball away...to prevent the goal! Poor decision from the Referee!

Gilbo made some fantastic saves alongside some good off side decisions by Debbie to keep it 1-0 to Belper until the dying moments.

After the guys keeping time on the sidelines called time, the ref played on. Wirksworth won a corner and scored at the death! Final score 1-1 replay booked!
