LA: I think that's probably one of the most one-sided games I've ever lost, being completely honest. We weren't on top in spells, we were on top for 95 minutes.

One-way traffic for nearly the whole game, created enough chances to win two, three games. It was a difficult team talk to do after the game there because I'm happy with the performance, we played well. We played well in the first two games without creating much, but today we created loads.

If we just had that killer instinct in front of goal, it's easy to say it's a centre-forward situation, but our wide lads, our midfielders, Grats, they've all had chances. I think Tav’s had two or three good chances in good positions. We've just not been clinical and there was nothing wrong with the performance from one (minute) to ninety-plus.

We've played really well, we've dominated the game, we've won the midfield battle, we've given them… I think they've had two shots on goal in the end because we've tried to chase in the 93rd minute and they've broken us, but other than the one little poke through where we've done the ball in a bad area, we've barely put a foot wrong.

I'm trying to be reflective straight after the final whistle, but you look at them first three games, it's crazy because we could easily have nine points and we've got two. I said to the players just there, it obviously looks bad outside looking in, but it's certainly not as bad as it looks.

We're not far away from being a really good team again. Like I say, we've rebuilt and we're playing a little bit of a different way this year without Bastos, and we tweak things. We certainly look sound defensively, again with two clean sheets and then today we've given up one and then another opportunity in the stoppage time.

There are loads of positives. It doesn't feel like it when you've lost 1-0 at home, but that's a dominant performance if you just didn't stick it in.

CN: Games coming thick and fast now, another one in three days. Has anything about today given you food for thought in terms of changes to the personnel?

LA: Listen Chris, none one bats an eyelid if we win that 3-4-0. Literally at half-time, loads of managers say we should have been 2-3 up, but we should have been 2-3 up. If you've had seven chances, you expect to score two or three.

They've been in the box in the first half, and they've done what they need to do. They've come away from home and they've nicked it, but it certainly worked because we kept ourselves out. We know the centre-forward situation.

We've worked hard this week and we're hopeful we'll have a body through the door this week, but we'll see. Performance-wise, very good. Just disappointed we didn't put final touches to it.

No-one here today is going to look at our performance and think we're struggling. If they do, they're watching a different game to me. We played some good stuff there, especially in the first half.

We were attacking down the wings, 3v2s, overlaps. We looked a real threat. You poke one of them goals in and you can play a different complexion on it.

Results in football dictate how people feel. Nothing's won or lost after three games, but it means that Tuesday becomes even more important. The last thing you want to do is come off without three points there.

It would have been a good start to the season with two solid away draws and backing up with a couple at home. We've not backed up today. We obviously need to try and get three on Tuesday.

I wouldn't say lift the mood because the lads aren't down. A lot of them have been around long enough to know that we aren’t playing badly. It will certainly come; I've got no doubts about that.

I'm probably the calmest man in the building about that. It will absolutely happen. We just need to get the ball rolling, don't we?
