CN: Lee, another goalless draw tonight here at the University Stadium. Still no goals in two matches scored or conceded. How did you see things tonight?

LA: First of all, what I would say is not many teams will come in and keep a clean sheet.

They're obviously a really good team, massive pitch, good players. They've obviously got their way of playing and I just said to the players before the game, the way the fixtures have been dealt with (we’ve had) two away games against two of what I call the biggest banana skins in the league.

Because Shepshed are very, very awkward to play against and a good side on the surface that we played on. And then everybody in the league knows that these (Students) are a bit of an anomaly.

They're basically full-time and they are fit, and young, they've got a thousand-man squad to choose from. They're very well-drilled and if they find a weakness in you, they'll exploit it.

And I just thought tonight we defended really well.

I said to the players, we don't get too downhearted and we're two clean sheets. Our problem last year was we chased too many games, and we opened up too easy. Tonight, I thought other than an unreal block in the last minute by Keenan, we've protected KP incredibly well.

I think he's made one half-decent save down to his left, but the game swung (on) a pendulum. They probably were slightly the better side first half, but we had good moments. And then the first 25, maybe even 30 minutes of the second half, I thought we were well on top.

They'd barely been in our half of the pitch, and we just needed to take one of them, I wouldn't say chances, but half chances. And when we got in down the sides, our deliveries weren't quite good enough. But we've got two strikers at the club and none of them are here tonight.

So, all things considered, we're playing a midfielder up front and then at the end, we were desperate for someone to run in behind and stretch them. And we haven't got those players in the building at the moment. So, we've obviously got to look and see if we can still maybe bring one in.

But we have been looking and it's about finding the right player at the right time. Because at the minute, obviously, Jono's up there as makeshift. And you can see he's just not as effective up there as when he plays in midfield.

It's not his natural position, but he did a sterling job in terms of work ethic and everything else. Dropping him into midfield to shore you up a little bit and then it's what's next. So, we've still got players that are bedding in.

Eddie's new, Tav is effectively new, Tris is new, Jack Rodgers is new. So, that top end of the pitch, we've just got to sharpen it up and that'll come with time. But whilst it's not quite clicking at that end, we've been resolute at the other end and kept a clean sheet.

So, I think I'll take the positives. And the last thing I will say is we played both of these sides away, Shepshed and Loughborough, in the last six games last season and we lost them both. So, two points on the road.

When they're back-to-back, it doesn't feel so great. But if they were 10 games apart, they're two relatively good points at difficult places to come. So, yes, we just take it and we move on.

Real heavy legs now, tired. So, the lads need to rest, and it'll be a nice get-home game.
