Nicky had signed for Steels from Goole AFC where he was captain and Player of the Year last season but seemingly did not fit in with the new boss's plans at the Victoria Pleasure Grounds.
Nicky had previously joined Goole after an eventful early footballing life. He started with a 4-year football scholarship in Florida U.S.A and whilst playing for Lynn University he won the Conference Championship.
Unfortunately his 4 year scholarship was cut short following an injury that required an operation.
Since then Nicky has played for Maltby Main and Brodsworth whilst he also had a short spell with Harrogate Railway.
Nicky will go straight into the squad to face his former team-mates when Goole AFC visit Christchurch Meadow tomorrow.
