CN: Lee, slipping to a 3-0 defeat at home here against Evesham United, most people that I've spoken to outside of the touchline didn't think it was a 3-0 match at all, but the final scoreline how did you see it?

LA: Obviously, it's not a 3-0 game, we're all aware of how that looks to the people who aren’t here.

Very quickly, if we talk about the goals, the first one, we should defend better, we let one boy in behind us, but after that, the second goal, you will not see that in the game. If you watch two million games of football, that wouldn’t happen again, they hit the bar, our keepers tried to volley it out, it's just incredible.

But that's what happens when you get in the luck we are at the minute. And obviously the third one, we throw everyone forward, left one on the halfway line and the lad stuck it in the top corner from thirty yards. And again, we're getting lessons at the minute in ruthlessness because we've done it again today where we've been very good in possession at times, not all the time, lots of sloppy stuff in there as well, but lots of good stuff.

Got in loads of good areas, the final ball is not good enough. Again, the game was lost at 1-0 because we had so many chances for one-all where we've been snuffed out or not got shots off or not played the final pass or Tav’s one where the keeper's already on the ground, we've got to put it in. And we don't, and that's where the game's lost at 1-0 and not making it one-all, because at that point we were making all the running.

It's another team that we've had camped for large spells. But again, another team that's come here and had two or three chances, scored three goals and it is what's happening. Listen, I'm well aware I can't keep standing here and saying we're playing well and not getting results because it's a results business.

I don't think that result in isolation is the problem. Our problem is that we've come into it on the back of two defeats, albeit Wellingborough away, Basford away, not many teams go there and win. We're just really frustrated because I think my honest opinion, and I'm always honest, I think we deserved to lose against Sutton Coldfield this season.

I think every other game we've been worthy of at least a draw and a lot of those games we've been worthy of winning it. So, listen, we're obviously down at the minute. But obviously, it's going to get to a point soon where I've got to start changing stuff.

I've just said to the players, I love this squad and this group, and I'm convinced they're capable of something. But when you're toothless so often: when you miss so many chances, or at least chances to make chances, because again today it wasn't even just the fact we missed chances, it's the amount of times we're in down the sides and we cross into the keeper's hands or we cross out of play or we dolly our pass or whatever.

And there comes a point where obviously I've got to then go, right, actually, do you know what, maybe we're just not good enough in those areas.

And that's a hard thing to say because I do back these lads and I'm sure if we get a couple of wins and a bit of confidence we can go on from there. It's getting those wins on the board first. It's going to be really good this week to be able to train.

We've not trained for ages. We've splayed Saturday/Tuesday, Saturday/Tuesday. We were meant to train last Thursday, but we didn’t because we had seven injuries and we didn't in the end because it made no sense. So, we'll be able to get in this week and actually do a bit. It'll be nice to try and pick the lads up because, listen, they're trying and they're working hard.

I've got no question marks over work ethic and application at the minute. We're just not good enough in the important areas of the pitch and there's no hiding behind it because the results show that. You can't keep saying we're playing well and losing games of football.

That's not the name of the game. The aim of the game is to win. Hopefully if you need to, if you play crap, no-one cares as long as you win the game and we're not doing it.
Like I say, listen, they're a step above us. I didn't see there was a big difference in the teams apart from the final touch and that's what wins you games. We're not ruthless enough at the minute.

We've also got to work really hard on that. Something's got to drop. Otherwise, we've got to try and shuffle the pack a little bit because we can't keep losing games.
