The club are delighted to announce that Lee Attenborough and Matthew Wain have signed a contract that keeps them in charge of team affairs for a further two years.

Lee and Matt will look to build on their successes over the previous two seasons in which they have rarely been out of the top six league placings, and last season led the team to a play-off semi-final against Stocksbridge Park Steels.

The pair joined the Nailers in the latter stages of the club's ill-fated season in the Northern Premier League, and while they were unable to prevent the club from being relegated their first full season back in Division One East saw them finish in sixth place after being in a play-off place for the majority of the season.

The Nailers made good progress last term and with a virtually new squad did well enough to emulate the previous season, although after Christmas it became clear the Cleethorpes looked the likely champions.

While their away form was excellent with only three losses away from The Raygar Stadium, their home form stuttered at times allowing the competition to catch up. Nevertheless, the season ended strongly for Belper and a fourth-place finish, level on points with Stocksbridge meant a trip to Bracken Moor in the semi-final.

Steels went on to gain promotion and the Nailers will try again this coming season and with the club in safe hands hopefully Lee and Matt can go a stage further and gain promotion which theirs and the team's efforts fully deserve.
