It was much more like it, especially second half. First half was a bit of both sides feeling their way into the game. It was a completely different game to Tuesday night.
Tuesday night was electric, both teams going for it, ding dong. The pace and the tempo to the game wasn't quite there in the first half. The message at half-time was just to move it quicker, don't leave the ball in midfield for too long.
It's one touch and it's gone. Whether that be the next pass or we turn it in good areas, go back to front a little bit more direct, because I didn't think their backline dealt with first balls very well at all, despite the size. And I thought second half; they couldn't live with us.
Jack was good. Jack had to be good, because like you say, we're missing Evo today, who, in my opinion, has been our best player this season. Not just the backline, but he's been our best player.
So, you've moved Keane into centre-half. They both did a good job, especially up against their 11, who's a heavy set, but he's been around the leagues, so he knows how to use his body. We said at half-time, when it's on Jack's side, Jack will beat him.
When it's on Keenan's side, it's more of a fight. We have to get out the bits. Jordan and Curt have to get around the toes.
He picks up more second balls in the second half, and that then allows us to spread the ball wider, quicker. Then you get Kevin, you get Fenners running at people, and they'll always cause problems if they get enough of the ball. We have to win the fight first and foremost.
First half, I think didn’t think we've won the fight. I think it's just a 50-50 game, and we've come in at nil-nil.
Yes, and (when) you're watching (Moran) from the side, and you can see his movement.
He's playing on the shoulder all the time. He's making little movements inside to go in behind. Very clever.
Obviously, massively impressive how he's took his finishes. He's had four chances in two games, and he's scored three goals. All three of them have been unbelievable finishes.
That second one, where he's chopped and bent it. But it's one of them, you look at the table there, you look at league positions, and people come to the game thinking Belper should win that. But like I say all the time to you it's never that easy.
Listen, they've got a big budget, they're spending a lot of money, and you've got to come and do a job on them. We've done a job on them. I thought if things were a little bit fairer, if I could say that in the last 10 minutes, we'd probably have a penalty.
We’re through on goal again, but the offside didn't look right to me. The linesman was sure it was off, but then the linesman on Tuesday night was sure it was off. I looked back at the camera; he was three yards on.
We'll have a look again, but at the end of the day, it's three points. I was just pleased, especially because when the crowd gets announced at half-time at 771, we're looking around thinking it's packed today, it looks busy. Then he announced that, and I think he announced it just after half-time, it was 0-0.
I was thinking to myself, we had a good crowd against Carlton. We didn't score; we didn't give them much to shout about. We really wanted to win that game.
It's nice for them to see not just a win, but three goals. Two really good goals, and just an all-round decent second-half performance. It puts three points on the board, but it's bigger picture.
It's two wins on the bounce now, five goals scored non-conceded. Like I keep saying, it's all about the next game, and we could do it again.
