I think we gave it away, obviously being completely honest. You know, you score two in a minute or two in two minutes away from home, you expect to go on and win the game.
We then gave away a really, really soft goal. We were really disappointed with both goals, but the goal for 2-1 was soft. We then have two chances that you just can't miss.
You know, Kev's had one that you just can't miss, and Jaanai’s chopped inside them really well. He just strokes that ball, probably bottom left, he scores, and then obviously 2-1, and you've missed chances.
Then again, another soft goal, and we've stuck two balls up into the box. We pride ourselves on defending our box usually, and we've looked really solid in that most of the season. But today, for some reason, it was a little bit shakier.
For some reason, when it goes to 2-2, we seem to become more solid again. I don't know if we thought the game was won, or because we got ourselves into such a good position, you feel like it's too good to be true. Maybe, I don't know.
But I'm just really, really disappointed that we didn't go on to win the game. In the second half, a little bit of a non-entity. I don't think any side tested goalkeepers.
We probably had to get better in the play. We played some nice stuff without really having a cutting edge, and it's just the way it's going for us at the minute.
You know, we're not losing many. We've one defeat in eight, but we need to start winning games. Draws aren't enough at the stage.
(The travelling) can't have (affected us) the way we started. Look, when you come here, we shouldn't be travelling four, four and a half hours to get to a game at Step 4.
But we played the cards we’re dealt. We started the game really well. We've gone two goals up, so we can't use that as an excuse.
I just think we took our foot off the gas when the game was really there for the killing. We didn't go and kill it. And listen, you know, the top, top sides; if Cleethorpes get into a two-goal lead, it's very rarely thrown away (and) they manage it better than we did.
So, we have to take it on the chin. There’re things we can do differently. You know, it's going to be nice next week to have Evo (Evans) back.
You know, I've got square pegs and round holes to a degree with Louis Keenan slotted in at centre half. And Mason Warren having to play left-back constantly. I saw a lot of stuff that I liked today.
With Wafula playing up front, and I think we had that little bit of a different dynamic in terms of stretching teams in behind and running them a little bit more. You know, you've got Drapes and Jaanai who are both very good at what they do, but they both face up play. So, Jono gives a little bit of a different dimension.
We landed on a lot of second balls there with Lewis and Woody I felt we tired probably the last 20 minutes, and it became a bit of an end-to-end game.
But look, we've lost two away games all season. We've got seven left. Can we go home next Saturday and put three points on the board? And again, if we can, it makes today's draw a good one because you never sniff at a point in the North East.
But when it's there for the taking, we should have taken it.
Well, I've been here two and a half years now and I say it every time. The support we get, away from home especially. It's only a small group, but they're a hardy bunch and they travel all over the country to watch us.
We appreciate all of them. That's why I've come and shook hands at the end with every one of you because it's not only us that’s doing it, but you guys are doing it as well. So, you're with us through thick and thin.
I've said this a few times, but we're as desperate as you are to achieve something for this club. We want it as much as you do. Hopefully, come the end of the season, we'll give you something to shout about.
Thanks to the fans today. Can we take it home next week and put a number three on the board? That's what I want to do.
