CN: Lee, once again we stand here after a disappointing home defeat, what's the initial reactions on that 4-2 today?
LA: (The) same, I might as well just repeat myself from the last four home games, can't defend, when we're here for some reason, don't know why,
They've come here and scored four but you could argue that all four goals were our fault, you know, we've got a team there, you look at the land of the giants, we've got Rhodesy, Keenan, Jack, Evo, Jono, Southy, big lads and we concede two set pieces.
We've gone a goal up and we concede within two minutes, so that's your basics, like I say I can’t shirk responsibility because it's my team, so I'm not trying to hide away from that, there's no hiding place from that because again in that first half we've had all the ball and all the territory, got into good enough areas again, even at 1-1 we've got an open net.
Jono and Curt get in his way, we probably have a penalty, well no, not probably, we have a stonewall penalty, we don't get it, but we can't be coming into interviews and talking about feeding enough scraps.
If this were happening, if that happened, we've got to find a way and again away from home we do find a way, but here we don't find a way at the minute and I don't know why, you know.
I looked at our first thirteen games at home, and we lost one and now we can't seem to buy a win and yes, the game, just moments, but we just look easy, play against teams that get down beside us too easily, not tight enough in the field,
I could go on, but you know, we're given the instruction, we knew to a T what they were going to do and how they play and it was exactly, we got everything that we expected and the lads had the information and we just didn't carry out our game plan well enough.
So yes, disappointing, you feel like you've got to score four to win a game at home, so yes, no hiding place for us, Chris, I can only apologise to supporters who keep coming, you know, massive crowd again today, we've collectively let everyone down again.
CN: Two away games to come now, in a strange way, does that almost give you something to look forward to?
LA: No, not really, listen, I want the challenge of, you know, as I said the other week, a long season in this league throws up all sorts of challenges, you know, start the season, it's three games a week for about four weeks,
Then you get to the middle months and it's boggy, horrible pitches, you know, postponement, stop start, then you get to this stage of the season, it's tired legs, its bobbly pitches, it's tough, you know, you want to overcome challenges.
I don't think we've got a bit of a sticky one at home, but we want to be putting it right, we don't want to hide away from it, hope we're playing away, we want to put a show there.
I don't know, it's just not happening for us, Chris, and I'm scratching my head and doing everything I can to try and solve it, you know, today we went a lot uglier, a lot more direct, hitting big balls on the diag,
I thought first half, you know, we penned them in and we felt it was a matter of time and you get the goal and obviously within a minute it's one all, but second half I thought we overplayed a little bit at times and going to get caught again trying to overplay in a bad area.
It’s just one of them where everything seems it against us, it seems everything is going in, I mean that lad's got through there, he's hit a fairly weak shot, he's bobbled over KB's hand and it's gone bouncing in.
Like they're the sorts of things that go against you when you're not getting the rub of the green, but I don't want to, you know, can't blame it on luck, can't blame it on anything else, it's all down to us.
We're the only ones who can put it right, that's myself included and I'll keep working for answers and, yes, tweaking shapes and styles and personnel till I get it, till we get it, but honestly, we've only got a few games.
We’ve got a couple of games left here, we just have to go on Tuesday and try and by hook, by crook, get a win and just try and shake it off quickly because, I don't know, I mean, was it an awful performance? I don't know, I have to watch it back and I think it was terrible, but we just, we just seem a bit too open, especially on the break.
We've got to try and sort our time out in the next few weeks, and we'll try and plan for Tuesday away and go from there.
CN: Liam had a bit of impact when he came on, winning a corner and a good through ball within minutes of coming on, has he played himself into contention for Tuesday?
LA: I don't know, listening to you say that, I thought he should have done better, you know, he got pushed off the ball three or four times too easily, but he's not the only one, you know, we wanted a real impact from Kev, did we get enough of a reaction, I don't know, maybe, maybe not.
At the end of the day, you know, this home run's gone on for more than a game or two, it's been eight games, so I know supporters want Liam in the team because he runs hard and he works hard, but he's got to earn his place, you know, we're on a bit of a goal drought across the front line, that's Liam included.
So, I'm not digging him out, it's a collective thing, but we've tried something different the last few games, he's obviously got a really good win Tuesday, I wanted to go with the same eleven.
He may be in the line-up Tuesday, he might not be, that would be for me and Wainy to set up a plan, but, you know, I don't think that changes the game if he starts, because I thought first half especially, again, we probably could have had three or four goals and we should definitely have a penalty, so it maybe changes it.
Look, I don't want to go around in circles, we haven't been good enough, the bottom line is we've not been good enough, and I don't want to hold people to watch and think excuses, we are, we're not good enough here and we need to find solutions to that, so yes, that's on me as well.
