TW: Lee a 2-1 defeat against Loughborough today what was your thoughts on today's game?
LA: Tough game, they're good at home, massive pitch and I thought it was a real tight game. Not many chances for your team, thought we played some really good stuff in places.
We scored a really good goal and then obviously the massive disappointment is we've conceded a shocking set-piece which, you know, someone's going to shin it in on your six yard line, you've done something wrong there, especially again with the size of the team we've got and the aerial power we've got.
We shouldn't be letting goals in like that and when you've worked so hard to get back in the game, we've got one fixed up today and we had to make two, we've got injured lads playing all over the place, we've got both full-backs getting injured mid-game, sorry Evo and Rhodesy mid-game and you're shifting things around
You're putting your forward at centre-half, we're all over the place but I thought having said that, the effort and everything was there and to be fair, like I say, I thought we played some good stuff in places but we just can't keep giving goals like that, Tom.
TW: Obviously got two games left now, do you think we're going to sustain the playoffs and go up, do you feel?
LA: Well look, it's absolutely crazy, I mean the results have gone our way again today and I keep thinking, have results gone our way or is it just the fact that this league is literally free-for-all? You know, I say the mid-table stretches from about 4th to 20th, it's absolutely bizarre, never been in a season like it.
All I would say is we've not grabbed the bull by the horns in this last six or seven games but it doesn't really matter, if we get over the line, we get over the line, we've got two games left now, I think we probably need one win. It's down to us; we've got to rest our bodies up because we're running on a real thin squad now.
It's a tough one that because I think the lads have left everything on the pitch, the effort levels and even some individual performances, Jordan outstanding again, I thought Curt Burrows was magnificent in midfield, we were lacking that cutting edge again up front.
(There were some) hear and there decisions, we wanted to hit Southy a little bit more accurately and we didn't, we hit too many, probably on Liam rather than Southy and so there's a few things we need to work on but that one goal we've conceded there, second goal, we can take the first one because it's a good strike from 20 to 25 yards right in the corner.
So, we should take our medicine on that but that set piece we have to man up there. So that's the disappointment, performance-wise, no complaints, tight game, if we'd have won it, we probably wouldn't have deserved it, I think draw was probably fair but another one where we have to lick our wounds and yeah, rest up, train Tuesday and another massive game next week.
