Liam Davis, a full-back from Stocksbridge Park Steels, and Matlock Town midfielder Gareth Davies (pictured) have both signed and could be involved in tomorrow's FA Trophy tie at home to Evo-Stik Division One South rivals Loughborough Dynamo.
Duffield has mixed feelings about the FA Trophy.
While he views it as more important in the light of the Nailers' FA Cup exit, he finds it an inconvenience that they are involved in the preliminary round.
"It's a pain that others have byes and could play league games while we're in the Trophy," he said.
"We were very disappointed to go out of the FA Cup last week because we should have beaten Daventry and we had worked so hard to beat Ilkeston in the previous round."
More heartening for the manager was the way Belper bounced back from the Daventry defeat by hammering Goole 6-2 on Tuesday night.
"The players deserve a massive amount of credit for that performance and I was so proud of them," said Duffield.
"The difference was the tempo we played at. We have to play at that tempo to be effective but I do understand it's difficult to do that for non-League players.
"Everyone has a bad or lethargic day at work sometimes and I may have a guy who's laid bricks for 10 hours before he comes to play.
"But it's the same for the other team and, if you do it better than them, if you press harder, you'll have more possession, create chances and have a better chance."
