It was a close run thing by all accounts but when all the promotion and relegation issues were resolved, the way was open for the Nailers to return to the division they won promotion from in 2022.
One of the advantages will be the number of local derbies that the Nailers will have which will generate local interest with Carlton, Basford, Long Eaton and Mickleover all within easy reach of Belper.
The Nailers ’travelling will be greatly reduced with St Neots Town being the longest trip (approx. 95 miles), Rushton and Diamonds (approx. 83 miles), Corby and Wellingborough (approx. 80 miles).
The Nailers will break new ground with visits to Coventry Sphinx, Lichfield City, Loughborough Students, Racing Club Warwick, Rugby Borough and St Neots being new destinations.
Half of the clubs are within an hour’s drive from Belper and none should take more than two hours. The full listing of clubs in the Midland Division is as follows;
Anstey Nomads, Basford United, Bedworth United, Boldmere St Michaels, Bourne Town, Carlton Town, Coleshill Town, Corby Town, Coventry Sphinx, Hinckley LR, Lichfield City, Long Eaton United, Loughborough Students, Mickleover, Racing Club Warwick, Rugby Borough, Rushton and Diamonds, Shepshed Dynamo, St Neots Town, Sutton Coldfield Town and Wellingborough Town.
