Michael Armstrong
21-year-old central defender, Michael Armstrong (pictured) has joined the Nailers from manager Charlie Palmer’s former club, Long Eaton United.
A player with huge potential, Michael started his career in the Long Eaton United youth team and made his first team debut for the club in November 2010.
He made club history when he captained United's team against Parkgate in February 2012 to become the club's youngest ever match day skipper and other records fell to this versatile player when he became the youngest Long Eaton player to start 100 first team games earlier in the season.
Kyle Bryant
Former Belper Town reserve team player Kyle Bryant has returned to the club, having signed from Sutton Coldfield Town, where he has been an ever-present in Neil Tooth’s NPL Premier Division side this season.
Kyle had signed for the Royals from Mickleover Sports, for whom he joined in 2011 when he originally left the Nailers.
He had a productive spell at Gresley FC in 2011/12 before returning to Mickleover Sports for the 2013/14 season where his impressive performances in their championship winning side earned him a place the NPL Division One South team of the year.
His versatility in all areas of the pitch makes his signing for the Nailers a huge boost to Charlie Palmer’s playing squad.
Louis Keenan
Louis Keenan is Palmer’s final signing.
Louis started his career as a youth team player at Walsall in 2008/09 and stayed at Fellows Park for two seasons before being released and he eventually moved on to neighbours, Hednesford Town.
Although Derby-born, his career has revolved predominantly around football in the West Midlands, having played in spells for Rushall Olympic, for whom he joined in October 2012 and then at Sutton Coldfield Town, having arrived initially on-loan for the Royals.
The following summer, Louis moved across the West Midlands again to play for Chasetown but his recent career has been spent at Midland Football League side, Bardon Hill FC, from where he joined the Nailers.
