The influential defender has signed a contract committing himself to the club to the end of the 2016/17 season.
Nailers manager Charlie Palmer is delighted that Watt has signed for next season.
"This is fantastic news for the club.
"I was keen to build our club's defence next season around Phil, as his defensive qualities will be vital to our chances of success.
"Everyone knows that Phil is one the best defenders in the Evo-Stik League and it's a real coup for us that he has decided to remain at the club for another season."
Watt was equally pleased with his new contract.
"I'm really pleased that this has been sorted out. There has been a lot of speculation but I'm glad that my immediate future has been resolved.
