CN: Lee, conceding a late equaliser today here at Long Eaton United, one-all draw, do you think that was a fair result in the end?

LA: In the end, definitely a fair result because I think the last 10-15 minutes, they obviously came on strong. I think if the game probably goes on five minutes more, they beat us. But having said that, we have an open net, and we don't shoot and we try and take another touch, and we let the lad get back on the line.

I can't for the life of me get my head around how we've not just took that extra chance out to go two up. A couple of good saves from their keeper but a couple of good saves from KP as well. Just another game where, when it started to get a bit frantic, we looked disorganised.

Made two or three subs that I didn't really want to have to make but I just thought we were getting overrun. Then the subs didn't really impact it. Just disappointed again because we've got a foothold in the game.

We know when you come to Long Eaton in the game, they've got a certain way of playing.

They stretch the pitch big and they use the ball really well. We wanted to full-tilt press zone, stop them playing out.

First half we did, and I thought we were miles a better team, comfortably. Second half, we got nowhere near the press. We let their left-centre half walk out of it to halfway line.

The instructions to stop that one player, you play out to him every time. We know it, we did the homework, passed the information on. In the second half, they map him under the pitch.

He gets his head up, he's feeding into the ten, he's hitting diags. Then they're getting down both sides of us because we're lazy off the ball. We needed to stop at the source and we didn't.

When you don't do that, you start to get stretched. Disappointed again. If truth be told, it's clear at the minute we are a mid-table side right now.

There's no doubt about that. We're a mid-table side who, on our day, can beat anybody. On and off day, we can lose to anybody.

That's the nature of where we are and I think I've come to that reality. I probably need to make some changes in the next couple of weeks. We'll work hard to do that.

We're still working on the striker front. We know it's not easy, that one. I think we probably need three or four.

I thought we might need one or two, but I think it's happening too often for it to be a fluke.

We're disappointed because we should have won the game.

CN: No game next Saturday but of course we return to action the following Monday against Coleshill. What's the one thing, if you could change anything, from that point this afternoon to Coleshill?
A: Ruthlessness, but how do you change that? Ruthlessness comes with ability, but it also comes with confidence. At the minute, we're probably lacking a little bit in both. Because, again, first half, we get into good areas so many times.

So many times. Then we've hit five crosses out of play again. We're sick to death of seeing it.

Under no pressure, by the way. Same as Tuesday night. Passes under no pressure, being given away.

We can't keep doing it because, like you say, we could have lost that game in the end. But that'd be a right sickener to lose it after having to open that for 2-0. In the end, we've got a point.

Actually, do you know what? When you come to Long Eaton away, regardless of the league positions, they're in a false position. They're a good team and they'll be fine. When you come here, you're in for a long afternoon.

You've got to run hard and we've got ourselves in such a good position again. But listen, in the grand scheme, it's not the worst point in the world. Away from home, tough place to come.

They don't lose many here either. At the minute, we're not good enough to get over the line in those really tight games. Like I say, it comes to reality now.

Like always, we'll take it on the chin, me and Matt, because we have to. But there's no doubt that in that front line, we want more out of them. In places we look good, but again, in places we looked ragged.
