The young academy boys managed to seal their first win in what felt like forever as they give a dominant showing against local rivals Mickleover in a 3-1 victory that really could have been a lot worse for the visiting side.
With center forward Fynn Marshall back on the score sheet again scoring 2 goals and setting up a multitude of chances throughout, it really seemed as though the winter break had done him some good with him adopting less of a target man approach to the game.
The entire strike force were causing the Mickleover defence terror with the likes of Tyrell Evans bullying his way through and needing 3 defenders to be stopped.
Tom Barton and Connor Easom both showing their fair share of class throughout giving defenders distance to run up the right wing
Toby Foulkes efforts didn't go unrewarded assisting the early goal of Fynn Marshall and then producing a sensational volley from inside the box off a Thomas Pegg corner, rifling it past the almost unmoving keeper.
The defence also did their fair share of work , keeping Mickleover to 1 hardly easy chance during the game with great tackles, interceptions and work rate from Harry Clements , Ephraim Yombo and Dylan Tomlinson
Their only goal coming from a bullet header into his own net from Brody Horsley who though unlucky had a very creative and enforcing performance not letting much get round him in the middle of the park.
Those coming off the bench all contributed too, showing great drive and really leaving coach Jack Sanders with something to think about for their next game.
Overall a dominant performance and the buzz around the lads is growing as they hope to take these 3 points and turn it into 6 at the next opportunity.
