Academy Suffer draw from 2 late penalties

Looking to capitalise on recent bouts of good form and composure in both the final third and defensively Belper got themselves off to a flying start with Tyrell Evan's glorious finish into the stantion within the first 30 seconds of the game and Harry Clements placing the ball into the upper 90 from a meek pass by Fynn Marshall.

From that point on Belper really struggled to get out their half conceding a multitude of corners and silly freekicks up until half time and really having to fight and dig to get to half time 2-0 up

the second half didn't get much better as Belper looked to bounce back , they began positively with decent efforts by Leslie Gumede and a close attempt on the volley by Fynn Marshall.

In the dying minutes Belper conceded a penalty in the 87th minute which was put away despite Bobby Taylor getting a solid hand to .
In a questionable decision by both the referee and the linesman a second penalty was given with 60 seconds to go and although going the right way Taylor couldn't keep it out.

Bob Wardle decided to take actions into his own hands crunching the opposing midfielder and a brawl began between the 2 teams with a lad who hadn't even come off the bench being sent off for violent conduct.

They look forward to 2 weeks time when Belper face Witton again and hope to recontinue their good form
