Tom Eccleshall and Lewis Austin returned to the starting line-up, with manager Lee Attenborough able to name a strong bench while Jacob Gratton still works to return to full fitness.

The visitors had the first half chance on four minutes when Kai Churchley spotted Kieran Preston off his line but the audacious lob attempt from near the halfway line drifted wide.

In the eighth minute, Jordan Fankwe laid the ball in to the path of Harry Draper who had an uncharacteristic long range effort that went just wide.

Josh Mansell produced a superb pass in the 24th minute, down the right for Jack Rogers who ran in to the box and attempted a lobbed shot which was caught by Brendan Beard.

On 27 minutes, Thomas Conteh found Brandon Liggett inside the box but good pressure from Preston forced the effort in to the side netting then a minute later, Robins captain Amer Awadh picked out Churchley but Preston was equal to the shot.

Eight minutes before half-time, after Belper were unable to clear, Churchley fired over from 22 yards.

Belper's last chance of the half came on 41 minutes when another great pass from Mansell landed at the feet of Tav Kuleya. His cross caused confusion in the Evesham box and eventually came to Rogers who headed wide.

Two minutes in to stoppage time, Preston was able to save a long range effort from Josh Barlow.

The visitors took the lead in the 49th minute. Owen Foyle's great ball down the left found Churchley who ran on and despite Preston getting a strong hand to his shot, it trickled over the line.

A couple of minutes later, Churchley nearly made it two, with Preston tipping his shot wide.

On the hour mark, some great passing play between Gratton, Rogers and Draper created a chance for the latter but he couldn't quite connect.

On 67 minutes, a Rogers corner was headed just wide by Mansell then back at the other end, Jyrel Bojang fired over from 30 yards.

Draper's superb solo run 15 minutes from time nearly brought him a goal but Beard saved his left footed shot.

In the 80th minute, Supuru Obieri broke in to the box but shot well over the bar.

Belper had a couple of chances to equalise, firstly on 84 minutes when substitute Jude Ayetine fizzed the ball across the edge of the six-yard box but no one in yellow could connect then Gratton found Kuleya who turned and shot but saw it loop up off Beard for a corner.

Evesham sealed their place in the next round one minute from the end of normal time. After Obieri fired in a shot from range, it crashed back off the bar and in attempting to clear, Keenan was unfortunate enough to see the ball go back towards his own goal, hit one post, roll along the line and go in off the other post. A truly bizarre own goal.

Some gloss was added to the scoreline, harshly on Belper, when Obieri fired in a superb goal five minutes in to added time.

So the Nailers exit the FA Cup at the First Qualifying Round for the second time in three seasons and return to league action with a Saturday-Tuesday double header, Boston Town and Rugby Borough the opponents.
