Manager Lee Attenborough named the same squad which had dispatched Heaton Stannington a few days before Christmas and was rewarded with three more points to see out 2024.
Harry Draper had a great chance to open the scoring in the first 40 seconds of the match when he latched on to a through ball from Kelan Swales but with the Nailers faithful expecting the net to bulge, his shot was agonisingly wide.
At the other end in the 10th minute Kurtis Havenhand's back post shot was saved by the feet of Kieran Preston and then a minute later Belper could only half clear a throw-in and Cameron Bedford's shot went just wide.
In the 23rd minute Preston's free kick from deep inside Belper territory was well kept in by Ben Rhodes and his pass found Swales who crossed for Draper. On the turn his half volley just cleared the crossbar.
By this point the fog was closing in and spectators were starting to question if the match would be completed.
Belper took the lead on 34 minutes when an excellent cross from Kelan Swales found the head of Tavonga Kuleya and despite his header not being the cleanest of contacts it was enough to trickle past Mikey Roxburgh in the Sheffield goal.
Four minutes later Keenan crossed again but this time Kuleya volleyed over the bar.
Sheffield equalised six minutes into the second half when Havenhand's cross was met by a lovely volley from Cameron Bedford.
In the 56th minute a good run by Josh Ayres brought him into the box on the left hand side before forcing a good save from Preston.
On 64 minutes Belper retook the lead when after a throw-in Luke Rawson tried his luck from close range and after Roxburgh saved the ball went in off Curtis Burrows.
In the 67th minute Draper nearly made it 3-1 when his looping header from a Keenan cross brought the best out of Roxburgh.
However Belper's top scorer wasn't to be denied for long and a couple of minutes later some lovely play on the right between Rhodes and Kuleya ended with the former producing a great cross and Draper did the rest with his head to make it 20 for the season.
The Nailers ensured there were no late nerves when after a foul on Kuleya in the 80th minute, Burrows stepped up to convert the penalty and make it four.
