The Opposition - History
Bedworth United traces its roots to Bedworth Town, first formed in 1895 but folding several times before reforming as United in 1968.
The post-war Bedworth Town won the Birmingham Combination in 1949 and 1950, later struggling in the West Midlands (Regional) League before folding.
United replaced them and joined the Southern League in 1972, earning promotion to the Premier Division in 1982 but suffering multiple relegations and restructures thereafter.
Since the 2000s, the club has often competed in play-offs, winning promotions in 2012, 2015, and 2018, though each was followed by relegation the next season.
As of 2021, they play in Division One Midlands of the Northern Premier League.
The Opposition - This Season
The Greenbacks had a good start to the season, beating Brocton 2-1 in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.
However since then it's been a struggle, with seven further games played and no victories, including five where they have failed to register a goal.
However they do come in to the fixture today off the back of two draws and last Saturday beat Darlaston on penalties in the FA Trophy after it finished goalless in normal time.
They have only lost one game by more than a single goal.

The Nailers
After an indifferent pre-season Belper got off to a winning start in the NPL at St. Neots Town.
The first home match saw a narrow win over Loughborough Students but this was followed by a disappointing FA Cup exit at the hands of Kidsgrove Athletic.
The following midweek saw a trip to league newcomers Lichfield City and the Nailers come away with a 1-1 draw but a few days later it was back to winning ways as Boldmere St. Michaels were defeated at the Raygar Stadium.
A trip to Basford on Bank Holiday Monday resulted in a first goalless draw since March and a second successive clean sheet for Kieran Preston and his defence.
Two weeks ago Belper took the lead at home to Rugby Town before being forced to settle for a point but last Saturday they secured progress in the FA Trophy with a win over Newcastle Town.
Kevin Bastos leads the goalscoring charts with five, while Ben Rhodes has three. James Tague, Jack Broadhead, Jonathan Wafula, Louis Keenan and new signing Jacob Fenton have one apiece.
Head to Head
The two sides first met in 1980 when The Greenbacks prevailed 2-0 at Belper in the FA Trophy (this remains the only Cup meeting).
However the Nailers won four of the next five and are unbeaten in the last five, all at Step Four.

Team News
Full team news will be announced at 2:15pm. There are no major injury concerns or suspensions.
Permutations
Due to their superior goal difference the Nailers will go top if they win and Corby lose.
Anything less leaves the door open for several teams to leapfrog.
Bedworth need a win and favours from other teams to climb off the bottom of the table.
