Born in Nottingham, Greg started his career at Notts County at 16 and signed his first professional contract with the club the following year. He made his debut for the Magpies against Scunthorpe United as a substitute, before going on to make three appearances in his first season. Greg eventually made 14 appearances for the club but joined Boston United on loan in 2014 but was released by Notts County after five years at the club. After leaving County, Greg joined Lincoln City in 2015, where he made 22 appearances for the Imps. Moves to Nuneaton Town and Gainsborough Trinity followed but a serious knee injury saw him out of the game for 15 months. Following his recovery, Greg joined Basford United but moved onto Matlock Town in 2019. Greg had another spell out if the game for personal reasons but joined Gedling Miners Welfare for two seasons before joining the Nailers in summer of 2022.
