A strong and commanding centre half, Ioan joins the Nailers from local rivals Matlock Town where he spent three seasons.
The 26-year-old started his career in the Newport County Academy and represented Wales at U17 and U19 levels.
He earned a move to Sheffield United, from where he embarked on a loan spell at Boston United before his release.
He moved on to Gainsborough Trinity, Tadcaster Albion and Stalybridge Celtic before joining the Gladiators in September 2021.
Ioan formed a solid central defensive partnership with fellow new signing Jack Broadhead in his debut season.
