Danny originally joined the Nailers during summer 2018 in a bid to reinforce the defence. The big, strong and tall centre half has enjoyed spells at clubs including Sheffield FC, Frickley Athletic, Ossett Town and Ossett Albion, where his combative approach has been a byword for his performances. Danny proved to be a dominant force for the Nailers since joining, leading the club to promotion to the NPL Premier Division in 2022/23. The club was disappointed when he opted for a move to Ossett United in October 2022 but equally delighted when he agreed to re-join the Nailers in June 2023.
