The hosts nearly took the lead on two minutes when Maia Taylor's cross found Krissy Humble but Maggie Buxton produced a great save.
However Humble didn't have to wait long, she opened the scoring in the ninth minute when she produced a nice finish after being played in behind the Belper defence despite strong claims from the visitors bench for an offside flag.
The lead was nearly doubled in the 24th minute when Ruby Burns found Zoe Bratley but the shot was wide.
Belper improved after this with hard work from Alice Faulding winning a couple of corners but nothing could be made of them.
The home side made it two a couple of minutes before half time. Carlie Green picked out Eleanor Rose who ran on and cut back for Burns to score from close range, a very good team goal.
On the hour mark a great ball from Phallon Symcox landed in the path of Faulding but Isabelle Morfitt was able to save the long range effort.
In the 68th minute another fantastic long range pass, this time from Mia Carnelley again connected with Faulding but she was unable to get the connection she wanted.
Dronfield secured the points on 79 minutes when after an Emily Marsden cross, Humble smashed a shot off the bar and Burns was on hand to finish.
It was nearly four in the final minute of normal time when a clearance at the back was sliced and landed kindly for Humble but her shot went wide of the post.
After the unfortunate abandonment two weeks ago this result represents a first league defeat of the season for Belper who return to the Raygar Stadium next weekend to face Chesterfield.
The Reserves were defeated 3-2 at Stapenhill, with Heather Rogers and Lauren Murfin on the scoresheet for the Nailers.
