The Nailers flew out of the traps and took the lead after six minutes. Phallon Symcox's perfect chipped through ball landed right in the path of Alice Faulding and she rifled a shot over Rosie Pearson. This would be the first of several excellent finishes by both sides.

Jess Smithurst picked out Faulding on 11 minutes and after some confusion in the Magpies defence Faulding shot narrowly over.

Belper doubled their lead in the 19th minute. Evie Jowett took advantage of a short back-pass to nip in and slot home coolly.

Faulding produced another stunning finish after 27 minutes after being played in by Shannon Worrall and at this point Belper were cruising.

The game took a swing back in the opposite direction after 29 minutes. The referee, despite little to no appeal from the home side awarded a penalty for a foul. Georgia Helliker made no mistake from the spot to reduce the arrears.

Belper survived a scare three minutes into the second half after the defence allowed a long goal kick to bounce over them, Anastasia Kariolis found herself through on goal but put her shot wide.

The Nailers restored their three goal lead in the 52nd minute. Kelsey Wragg flicked a goal kick in the direction of Faulding and she made no mistake to complete her hat trick.

A couple of minutes later Wragg dispossessed a defender before shooting but Pearson saved comfortably.

On 61 minutes Kariolis brought a good save out of Buxton but a minute later Notts were back in the game. Milly-Lee Russell headed home a corner from the right and Belper's lead was cut back to two.

In the 66th minute Emily MaCardle's shot from range went just over the bar.

Belper started to breath a little easier nine minutes from time when Smithurst scored after a great ball from Symcox and good work on the edge of the box by Faulding and Wragg.

The hosts still had time to bring Nailers nerves back into the equation when Kariolis found Katie Owen who produced a thumping finish which gave Buxton no chance.

The final action of the match, four minutes from time saw Wragg try her luck from range but it cleared the crossbar.

Victory saw Belper move to 5th in the EMWRFL, with games in hand on two of the teams above them.
