Two minutes later Eden Pedersen tried her luck from range but Maggie Buxton was able to watch it go wide.
Belper's first chance came on 17 minutes when Alice Faulding got on the end of a through ball and attempted a chip; Jasmine Lacey made the save and the Nailers couldn't capitalise on the corner.
In the 26th minute a mazy run from the dangerous North ended with a shot wide of goal and seconds later Bethany Wharton won possession and hit the crossbar with her effort.
