Belper started brightly and in the third minute launched a counter attack involving Ella Boden, Alice Faulding and Phallon Symcox. Symcox's shot was gathered by Erin Rodgers.
Four minutes later a long ball from Mia Carnelley found Faulding but she dragged the shot wide.
In the 22nd minute after Staveley gave the ball away, Boden ran on and brought a good save out of Rodgers.
The hosts went even closer than Belper had with a 38th minute free kick from Lucy Robertson which bounced back off the crossbar and was cleared.
A trademark mazy fun from Boden on 43 minutes saw Rodgers called into action again but the Nailers made the breakthrough six minutes into first half injury time. After a penalty was awarded for handball, Faulding stepped up and made no mistake.
The lead was doubled ten minutes into the second half. Boden's cross from the left found Jess Smithurst who took a touch before finishing nicely into the corner.
In the 62nd minute Symcox found Smithurst but this time she couldn't connect properly with the shot and Rodgers saved.
Staveley hit the bar for the second time on 76 minutes, this time Isabelle Bates with the effort and when she tried her luck again with five minutes remaining Maggie Buxton in the Belper goal was equal to it with a good save.
Any lingering doubt was extinguished in the fourth minute of stoppage time. The returning Evie Jowett crossed for Freya Wilson, back after an even longer layoff. Wilson's pass found Symcox who unselfishly laid the ball off for Faulding to complete the scoring with a thumping finish from eight yards.
So the Nailers enter the semi-finals of the Plate alongside Long Eaton United Development. Two further quarter-finals are yet to be played.
