The result was made even better by the positive reaction to an early setback, with Maia Taylor putting the hosts in front from the penalty spot after just seven minutes despite Maggie Buxton getting a hand to it.
Belper looked to bounce straight back, with Shannon Worrall’s free kick which went over the bar.
They didn’t have to wait much longer, with great movement and a pinpoint pass by Evie Jowett to Alice Faulding who provided a brilliant finish to level the scores in the 14th minute.
The Nailers had a great chance to take the lead on 20 minutes. Faulding fed in Hannah James but the shot was off target.

Lauren Haslam’s great ball found Faulding, she in turn picked out Jowett who made no mistake.
The lead was doubled in the 38th minute. New signing Skye Sementish-Wright picked out a great ball to Jowett and her blossoming partnership with Faulding continued, with the Belper number nine putting the finishing touch to the move.
Wells saw a free kick cleared three minutes before the break and Faulding was back helping the defence to clear another one as the half drew to a close.
Belper started the second half pushing for another goal.
Jowett missed narrowly on 46 minutes before Faulding played in Hannah James who shot wide. A couple of minutes later, Tamsin Wilkins forced a good save out of Megan Bartrop.

Dronfield got one back on 67 minutes with Kirsty Unwin tapping in to an empty net following a corner.

The Nailers scored again on with seven minutes remaining. Hannah James cleared, allowing Flo Wakefield to break. Her shot was saved but Faulding was on hand to tap in for yet another hat trick.
The hosts saw another free kick go wide on 87 minutes but did grab a consolation right at the death as Unwin scored from close range.
So new manager Matt Chatfield sees his side go top of the fledgling table following a wonderful win against a traditional powerhouse at this level.
