Buxton took an early lead and soon extended their lead to two in the first half. The early goals sparked Belper into life and after 20 minutes the returning Ellie Froggatt volleyed home from a corner with virtually her first touch in three weeks.
Buxton regained their two goal advantage making it 1-3 shortly afterwards which might have knocked Belper backwards but not this team. After 28 minutes Jazz Buxton scored a quite brilliant free kick from all of 30 yards to cut the deficit to one and in the 42nd minute Belper were level again after Lauren Murfin saw her shot parried into the onrushing Elisha Billyeald who kept her cool to make it 3-3 at half-time.
The second half was a different game with Belper limiting Buxton to almost nothing in terms of chances whilst creating several big ones themselves. The back four of Sophia Beeston, Emma Gotheridge, Nancy Frostick and Gina Lowe were brilliant at limiting shots on the goal of the returning Leighanne Powles.
The midfield of Ella Brown, Jazz Buxton, Holly Wright and Jess Needham created chance after chance and the winner finally came in the 80th minute. A scramble in the box was finally bundled home by Jess Needham sparking brilliant celebrations on the touchline.
A well deserved three points for a very special football team.
